According to “Money Week”, in view of the likely continuing uncertainty in credit markets, James Moore at TheBullionDesk.com says the price of gold can be expected to reach $800 an ounce by the end of 2007. The magazine points out that investors are further increasing their holdings by means of exchange-traded funds or ETFs after high oil prices and ongoing weakness of the US dollar together took the gold price over $770 for a spell. With growing tension between Iraq and Turkey and other issues around the world, buying gold as a safe haven has become an increasingly attractive option for investors.<\/p>\n

In addition to indirect investment such as ETFs and buying shares in gold mining companies or trading houses, direct purchases of the precious metal in the form of bars and gold coins<\/a> (such as here<\/a>) are other popular ways of buying gold.<\/p>\n
